Catching up on some interesting reading from the last few days. …

— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller profiles Washington as part of the sites “Heart of the City” series on football programs that reside in the same area as an NFL franchise.

— The Orange County Register has an item on recent UW commit Blake Rodgers.

— The Business of College Sports says the UW football program was the 27th most profitable athletic program in the country in the 2009-10 academic year, making more than $14 million.

— News organizations in Oregon today received a lot of documents from the University of Oregon related to the recruiting services investigation. The Oregonian is providing live updates of what it finds as it sifts through the info. So far, nothing all that revealing.

— Some interesting stuff here from the Tucson Citizen on the Pac-10 era of Pac-10 football. As expected, UW rates pretty highly due to its success from 1978 to the early part of the last decade.

— Miller with links from around the conference.
