There are multiple reports this morning that UW has received a commitment from cornerback Bryan Harper of Colony High in Ontario, Calif.
Here’s his Scout.com profile.
Harper told Scout.com that he attended UW’s Rising Stars camp this weekend and got and offer and committed after returning home and talking with his parents. RealDawg.com also reported the commitment.
The 6-foot, 170-pounder also listed offers from Arizona and Arizona State among Pac-12 schools.
He is the 13th known commit for the Class of 2012 and the second to come from the Rising Stars camp, joining punter Korey Durkee of Gig Harbor, who committed on Saturday.
Both Rivals.com and Scout.com list Harper as a three-star commit.
According to Scout.com, Harper played quarterback at Colony last year before suffering a collarbone injury. But he told Scout.com UW is recruiting him as a cornerback.
That’s obviously a position of need for UW in this class and the Huskies now have three, with Harper joining Darien Washington of Orange, Calif., and Damontae Kazee of San Bernardino, Calif.
UW signed just one cornerback in the Class of 2011 in Marcus Peters, which made cornerback a priority for 2012 group.
