UW’s athletic department today announced starting times and TV situations for the first two games of the 2011 season against Eastern Washington and Hawaii.
Both will be televised by ROOT Sports, the EWU game on Sept. 3 beginning at 4 p.m. and Hawaii game on Sept. 10 at 12:30 p.m.
That means five UW games now have kickoff times and TV situations for five games. The Nebraska game on Sept, 17 will begin at 12:30 and will be televised on ABC/ESPN; the Oct. 22 game at Stanford will start at 5 p.m. and will be televised on ABC/ESPN/ESPN2; and the Nov. 12 game at USC will start at 12:30 p.m. and will be televised on ABC/ESPN or FSN.
That leaves seven UW games without TV situations and kickoff times for now, though it’s expected all will eventually be picked up for television coverage. However, the rest will likely now be announced during the season, likely 12 days prior per the Pac-12 Conference TV contracts.
UW has had 50 straight games on live TV dating to the 2006 home game against Stanford.
