Friday links — Locker, early recruiting ratings, and more

If it seems like it’s too early to start rating 2012 recruiting classes, well, MaxPreps.com disagrees, weighing in with these rankings that have UW at No. 18.

Obviously, so much can change between now and signing day Feb. 1, especially since a lot of schools don’t have even half their spots filled yet. UW, as MaxPreps notes, has 16, which is the most in the Pac-12.

Here’s a list of commits by school:

UW, 16
Arizona State, 14
Stanford, 11
Colorado, UCLA, Washington State, 10
Arizona, USC, Utah, 9
Oregon, 8
Oregon State, 5
Cal, 3

USC, at No. 23, is the only other Pac-12 team in the ratings. But again, lots of time left for others in the conference to add commits and make their move up such a list. For now, though, a seemingly positive early statement about the efforts of UW’s coaching staff.
