UW free agent signings update

Two more former Huskies have signed contracts today as undrafted free agents — receiver D’Andre Goodwin and fullback Austin Sylvester, each with the Denver Broncos.

Here’s a link with details.

Goodwin and Sylvester could each see action against the Seahawks in the pre-season as Denver hosts Seattle on Aug. 27.

That brings to five the number of players who have signed deals as undrafted free agents in the past two deals. The others, announced on Tuesday, are:

— Offensive lineman Cody Habben with the San Diego Chargers;
— Safety Nate Williams with the Baltimore Ravens;
— and fullback Dorson Boyce with the Seahawks.

Linebacker Victor Aiyewa is also expected to sign — teams sometimes simply announce these things at different times.

The signings already announced mean there will be seven players off UW’s 2010 roster who will be in NFL camps when they open this week — the five listed above as well as drafted players Jake Locker (Tennessee) and Mason Foster (Tampa Bay). Assuming Aiyewa signs, as is expected, and the number will be eight.
