Locker to make Tennessee debut tonight

jaketenn.jpg

It’s a big night — as big as any pre-season game gets, anyway — for former Husky QB Jake Locker (in an AP photo) as he is set to make his debut with the Titans.

Tennessee hosts Minnesota in a game that will begin at 5 p.m. Seattle time (here’s a good buts-and-bolts preview). There is no live TV in our area but the game will be replayed at least twice on the NFL Network — 7 p.m. Sunday and 10 p.m. Tuesday.

The Tennessean reports that starting QB Matt Hasselbeck (remember him?) will likely go 12-15 plays and then Locker is expected to take over. As the paper says, Locker “will see more action than Hasselbeck.”

I am assuming you can follow the game on-line either on ESPN.com or on the team’s official site, among other places.

There’s also a lot of stuff on the Tennessean’s Titans page, including a couple of Locker-related stories, as well as a poll showing fans are most excited to see Locker of any of the team’s newcomers (and somewhat oddly, Akeem Ayers is in second, ahead of Hasselbeck).
