Nebraska opens as 17.5-point favorite

The opening betting lines for next week’s games are out, and Nebraska has been installed as a 17.5-point favorite over the Huskies for Saturday’s game in Lincoln.

That’s the highest spread for any of the three games the two teams have played in the last year. Nebraska was a 3-point favorite at UW last September, when it won 56-21, and was a 14-point favorite for the rematch in the Holiday Bowl, when UW won 19-7.

In other Pac-12 lines:

— Colorado is a 10-point favorite at home against Colorado State;
— Texas is a 4.5-point favorite at UCLA;
— Washington State is a 9.5-point underdog at San Diego State;
— Arizona State is a 1.5-point favorite at Illinois;
— USC is a 13-point favorite over visiting Syracuse;
— Utah is a 5.5-point underdog at BYU;
— and Stanford is an 8-point favorite at Arizona.
