Saturday links — Gameday arrives

And it’s another relatively early one, kickoff for the third straight week at 12:30 p.m. Seattle time. So no time to waste to get a few gameday links posted. …

— Here’s my preview story and scouting report.

Bud Withers also picks UW to win.

— Here’s the preview from UW’s official site.

— Here’s the scouting report from the San Jose Mercury News.

— The Mercury News also notes this is the beginning of a tough four-game stretch for the Bears.

Jon Wilner says a Cal win would go a long way toward sewing up a bowl bid for the Bears (and probably doesn’t need to be said it would do the same for the Huskies — a win would get them halfway there).

— The San Francisco Chronicle notes Cal hasn’t won in Seattle since 2005.

— BearInsider.com has more on Cal wanting to avoid missing a bowl again.

— SBNation offers some players to watch today.

Ted Miller says he’ll be shocked if UW can score 40 on Cal (it’s in the second item).

— Maddux Sports says to expect a lot of points — and I note that the over-under has gone up 4.5 points, from 54 to 58.5, which makes a lot of sense (and also probably means the two teams will combine for 29 points again).

— This is coming from a Cal perspective, but it’s a pretty detailed look at UW’s defense and offense (and the story on the offense is kind of NSFW so be forewarnded).

— ESPN.com updates Max Browne’s recruiting, and he definitely appears to be considering a few schools other than UW.

— UW commit Jeff Lindquist didn’t get to play much Friday night due to a sore shoulder as Mercer Island rolled to an easy win.

— Here’s a Q-and-A with UW commit Cyler Miles, who didn’t have to do much Friday night as his team won big.

— I went to the Kentlake-Jefferson game last night, and the run by Jefferson QB K.W. Williams at about the 1:50 mark of this KCPQ video was pretty amazing.

— We’ll do our pre-game and game live chat again, beginning around 11 a.m. or so.

And to kill the time until kickoff arrives, here’s UW’s winning drive from last year’s game:
