Huskies 27th in both polls

Both of the major Top 25 polls are out, and Washington remains unranked, but did move up in both in terms of total points, standing technically at No. 27 in each.

Here’s the AP poll showing UW with 71 points this week, almost double its amount of last week.

And here’s the Coaches Poll, in which UW got 52 points.

And as always, you can see everyone who voted (or didn’t vote) for UW here.

UW has not been ranked since standing at No. 24 in the AP poll following its win over USC in the third week of the 2009 season.

Finally, here’s my poll:

1, LSU
2, Alabama
3, Oklahoma
4, Oklahoma State
5, Wisconsin
6, Stanford
7, Boise State
8, Oregon
9, Clemson
10, Arkansas
11, Michigan
12, South Carolina
13, West Virginia
14, Illinois
15, Virginia Tech
16, Nebraska
17, Georgia Tech
18, Kansas State
19, Arizona State
20, Houston
21, Texas A&M
22, Baylor
23, Washington
24, Michigan State
25, Auburn

Not a whole lot to break downn this week as there was not much change as the top teams all won their games, and did so in pretty similarly dominating fashion, leaving no reason to really change anything. Oklahoma was darned impressive against Texas, but really no more so than LSU against Florida or Alabama has been in its games. Oklahoma State, Stanford and Boise State also took care of business in dominating fashion.

With some shuffling at the bottom, I moved the Huskies up a spot to No. 23. If UW beats Colorado Saturday the inevitable shuffling would likely get Washington into the Top 25 heading into an Oct. 22 game at Stanford. And that game would then really tell just where the Huskies truly stand.
