Up and at ’em early on a day we’ll be burning the midnight oil yet again. …

— Here’s my preview story and Scouting Report.

— The ESPN Gameday guys discussed the contest for a little while and all three — Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and Desmond Howard — picked Oregon to win. Herbstreit said that the game will be “more interesting than you think. Washington can score on Oregon. But eventually the Ducks have just too much.” Howard said “I like the Ducks. I don’t think they (UW) have the personnel on offense to get into a shootout with them.” He said he worried about Oregon “looking over Washington” to its game next week against Stanford. Corso noted UW is 5-0 at home this year and that “it will be closer than the experts think. Oregon in a real, close ball game.”

— The line remains Oregon by 16.5 points.
