The Spokesman-Review is reporting that WSU quarterback Connor Halliday will miss the Apple Cup after being hospitalized overnight for a liver laceration.
Here’s their story.
Halliday, a redshirt freshman, got his first start of the season Saturday in WSU’s 30-27 overtime loss to Utah after having come off the bench to throw for 494 yards the previous week against Arizona State.
As the SR story notes, Jeff Tuel is also still sidelined, so the Cougars will likely go with Marshall Lobbestael as the starter against the Huskies in Saturday’s game, which starts at 4:30 p.m. at CenturyLink Field.
The Huskies are likely to go with Keith Price, who didn’t start Saturday’s 38-21 loss at Oregon State while resting a sprained left knee. Price, though, was able to play two series in the game and said afterward he was fine.
