There’s been a lot of UW news so far today that has dominated the blog, but wanted to get caught up on a few things elsewhere, as well. …
— Dave “Softy” Mahler at KJR-AM is reporting that UCLA has hired former UW QB Marques Tuiasosopo to a fulltime role as the team’s new tight ends coach. He had earlier been hired as the QB coach through the bowl game to take the place on the staff of Rick Neuheisel. Here’s more on the rest of UCLA’s offensive staff being assembled by Jim Mora.
— There will be lots of rumors about how Steve Sarkisian might fill the spot vacated by Demetrice Martin. One guy that makes a lot of sense to at least look at is Greg Burns, who worked the last four years at Arizona State but worked with Sarkisian and Nick Holt at USC and also spent a year at Idaho and is a native of LA who played at Washington State, so he has lots of experience up and down the West coast.
— Neuheisel with some interesting thoughts on what went wrong at UCLA.
— Good stuff here from the Arizona Republic on what went wrong with Arizona State’s defense this season.
— Miller with lots of links around the conference.
