Monday links — Where do UW bowl numbers rank, and more

The bowl season ends tonight (boo!). And as might be expected, UW’s offensive numbers from the Alamo Bowl continue to rank high.

Here’s a look at the leading passers, rushers and receivers in the 34 games played so far (a list pilfered from this story in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette).

Player, team Yards
Blaine Gautier, La.-Lafayette 24-40, 470
Alex Carder, W. Michigan 31-57, 439
Keith Price, Washington 23-37, 438
Ryan Lindley, San Diego St. 28-49, 413
Brock Osweiler, Ariz. State, 30-47, 395

Player, team Yards
Terrance Ganaway, Baylor 200
Lampford Mark, Nevada 183
Vick Ballard, Miss. State 180
LaMichael James, Oregon 159
Michael Smith, Utah State 157
DeAnthony Thomas, Oregon 155
Doug Martin, Boise State 151
Isiah Pead, Cincinnati 150
Akeem Shavers, Purdue 149
Chris Polk, Washington 147
James Franklin, Missouri 142
Preston Lyons, Ga. Tech 138

Player, team Yards
Jordan White, W. Michigan 265
Gerell Robinson, Ariz. State 241
Jermaine Kearse, Washington 198
Javone Lawson, La.-Lafayette 193

And without even doing the search, I’m sure UW’s defense remains at/near the top for yards and points allowed in a bowl game, though that’s another story. …
