It’s moving day here at The Seattle Times as we finish our relocation to a new building basically across the street.
I bring that up in part because it means I’ll be busy much of the rest of the day with that (and taking in the UW-Seattle U hoops game tonight). So I can’t guarantee there will be anything on here the rest of the day (though I’ll obviously make sure to get breaking news on here if any were to happen).
For now, a few more notes and links. …
— And it’s good news for former UW receiver D’Andre Goodwin, who was signed today to the active roster of the Denver Broncos for this weekend’s playoff game against New England. Here’s some good background from the Denver Post on the team’s thin receiver situation.
— Greg Biggins of ESPN.com just Tweeted that Zach Banner probably won’t make his trip to USC until the weekend of Jan. 20 (there had been some talk he might do it this weekend). So that means Banner’s decision won’t come until the following week at the earliest. Banner is said to still be considering UW, USC and Oklahoma.
— Some of you have speculated on here whether the announcement yesterday that Austin Seferian-Jenkins will play basketball this year might have been timed to help influence Banner — who has made it clear he wants to try both sports in college. Certainly it can’t hurt. CoachSark’s site sells the point of what such a decision says about coach-player relationships in this blog post.
— Also of note on CoachSark’s site is this update on former players Mykenna Ikehara and Kalani Aldrich.
— One Las Vegas Sports book has Keith Price at 50-1 to win the 2012 Heisman.
— The HuskyStadium.com site has some updated pictures of what’s going on out there.
— MaxPreps has released its updated Top 25 recruiting classes for 2012. UW is not on it, but interesting nonetheless.
— Here’s a good season-ending wrapup of Utah.
