Seattle Times Blue Chips released

If it’s the third (or so) Sunday in January, then it must be time for the Seattle Times list of Blue Chips, signifying the top recruits in the state.

So here’s this year’s list, which as it did a year ago, again numbers five — Zach Banner, Josh Garnett, Jeff Lindquist, KeiVarae Russell and Cedric Dozier.

As Mason Kelley notes in the story accompanying the list, though, the Blue Chip list was happier reading for UW last year as all five ended up signing with the Huskies. This year, though, it’s possible only one will (though on the optimistic side, it’s also possible three still could become Huskies).

Here’s the interactive list of all the blue, red and white chip players.

UPDATE — Here’s the rest of the chip list.

— Also, Erik Folk kicked field goals of 25 and 46 yards today to help the National beat the American Saturday in the NFLPA Collegiate All-Star Game.

— And I probably barely need to remind everyone of the good game Austin Seferian-Jenkins had today for the UW men’s basketball team in helping the Huskies to a crucial win over Stanford. Percy Allen has the details.
