Stanback enjoying Super Bowl experience — and a few other notes

Clearing out the notebook. …

— The Huskies won’t have any active players on the rosters for Sunday’s Super Bowl. But Isaiah Stanback is there as a practice player for the New York Giants, which is explained in this Dallas Morning News story and this from the Boston Herald. UW’s last alum to see the field in a Super Bowl as Mark Brunell with the Saints two seasons ago.

— Rivals.com has released its list of the top recruiting classes in the nation by offensive position. UW is second at quarterback. And the Pac-12 is well-represented overall, including three of the top five offensive line classes.

— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller answers whether Steve Sarkisian should be considered on the hot seat.

—- Missed this the other day, but here’s some video from the Sacramento Bee of Shaq Thompson explaining why he picked UW.

— More on Pio Vatuvei’s signing ceremony.
