— Mike Cox, who was UW’s linebackers coach the past three years before being fired in December, has been hired to fill the same spot at Kansas State. That means two of the the dismissed UW coaches have found jobs — Cox and Jeff Mills, who was earlier hired as defensive backs coach at New Mexico. No word yet on a new stop for Nick Holt. His son, though, was officially announced as now on the roster at Montana on signing day.
— A Sporting News mock draft has Alameda Ta’amu going No. 6 overall. I’m sure a lot of UW fans might raise an eyebrow or two that one, but it also speaks to the potential a lot of people see in Ta’amu.
