Wednesday links and notes — Combine, and more

The next few days will be dominated by news from the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, and our own Danny O’Neil will be on the scene. Along with covering the scene as a whole, O’Neil will also have some stuff on the UW players there, and I’ll make sure to pass that along here, as well.

Senio Kelemete is among the four Huskies participating in the Combine and he is doing a daily dairy for Scout.com. He also did an interview on the Gas and Elise Show on KJR-AM.

There’s going to be no shortage of coverage of the Combine and I’ll try to pass along some of the stuff most pertinent to the Husky quartet that is participating.

In a couple more preview links: ESPN.com’s Ted Miller has a good overview of Pac-12 players at the Combine while NFLDraftScout.com lists its Top 64 players entering the Combine.

IN OTHER NEWS. …

— The Orlando Sentinel has the spring practice dates for just about every FBS school. You can see a lot of the Pac-12 schools have similar time frames to that of UW.

— CollegeFootballNews.com has Hau’oli Jamora on its list of top players returning from injury in 2012.

— Here’s an official statement from the BCS on the meetings discussing potential changes, essentially saying there’s not much to report.

— Maryland has reversed course on not allowing a few of its transferring players free reign to go where they wish, an incident shining some light on rules that some feel favor coaches at the expense of players.

— Scout.com also examines why NFL teams are increasingly shying away from drafting RBs with early picks.
