Quick Saturday practice update

The Huskies are off the field following their Saturday practice at Memorial Stadium. It may take me a little while to get some of the usual post-practice stuff up. But for now, a few quick notes. …

— Probably about 800 or so at Memorial Stadium for UW’s first open practice of the spring. It wasn’t a scrimmage, per se, but did feature lots of live plays, largely in situational stuff, such as two-minute and goal line, and the offense coming off the goal line.

— No new injuries. James Johnson and Lawrence Lagafuaina each sat out after having “bells rung” on Friday. Cooper Pelluer also sat out after re-injuring his shoulder Friday — he’ll have that examined again soon.

— For the most part, the defense seemed to get the better of it. But the No. 1 offense did drive 98 yards for a touchdown against the No. 1 defense in a drill where the ball was set at the 2-yard-line to start. The highlight of that was a 40-yard pass from Keith Price to Kasen Williams.

Here’s a little bit of what it looked like:
