The Huskies are likely on the field as I type this, for the 14th practice of the spring. They decided, however, to close it to the media, so none of us are up there, meaning no practice reports coming later.
I’d assume it’s not a full-contact practice with the Spring Game tomorrow. We weren’t told why it was closed, so no idea if it means anything other than just wanting a closed practice.
What news there may be involving UW today will come from the NFL Draft. The second and third rounds will be held today, and each of the trio of Chris Polk, Alameda Ta’amu and Senio Kelemete has been in a mock draft somewhere in the second-third round area at some point. Most realistic is probably that at least Ta’amu goes, followed by Polk (The Sporting News calls Ta’amu one of the 10 best players still available).
The Draft resumes today at 4 p.m.
Until then, a few other links and notes. …
