Friday links

It’s becoming the time of year where college football news can become kind of scarce other than the off-field stuff (and you’re often better off not having any of that). So the blog entries with links may not be as regular or plentiful the next few months. But we’ll muddle through the best we can. And here are a few for today. …

Mason Kelley has some good stuff talking with CBS Sports Network recruiting expert Tom Lemming about in-state recruits.

Steve Sarkisian quoted in Ted Miller’s story on the Pac-12 reaction to a proposed college football playoff.

— It’ll be a clash of a few former Huskies in Arena Football League action in Spokane tonight when Spokane, with Vonzell McDowell on its active roster takes on Utah and Caesar Rayford. It’s apparently a big game for Spokane.

— Miller also has some thoughts on the Washington-Oregon rivalry.

— He also examines the Pac-12 representation in Todd McShay’s initial 2013 mock draft.

— SI.com’s Stewart Mandel with a realignment “cheat sheet,” showing all the changes that have been made the last few years.

— There’s going to be all kinds of realignment news today and Yahoo.com looks at the winners and losers.
