Friday afternoon links

A few more notes and links to pass along today. …

— I’ll begin with a link to our new page documenting the renovation of Husky Stadium. It includes links to stories detailing the final days of the old stadium and the process of building the new one, as well as a timeline. And it will be updated as events warrant until the new stadium is completed prior to the 2013 season.

— UW coach Steve Sarkisian was a guest on Sirius XM College Sports Nation today with Randy Cross and Jack Arute. You can listen to it here. Nothing hugely newsworthy but some interesting comments on Keith Price, the teamwide conditioning goals for the off-season and the change in those goals the past few years.

Steve Caric, the agent for Chris Polk, was on KJR-AM today with Dave “Softy” Mahler. Listen here. No real revelations — though Softy tried — as Caric says it was concern over the shoulders and Polk’s “general wear and tear” that scared off NFL teams.

— Polk, by the way, will wear No. 32 for the Eagles.

— Polk met with some kids in his hometown last weekend.

— The Tennessean reports that Jake Locker wants to earn the respect of his teammates in his second season in the NFL.

— 247Sports updates the recruitment of RB Justin Davis of Stockton, Calif., regarded as one of the top recruits for the Class of 2013. In essence, he will announce Thursday from UW, Cal and USC, with the Trojans considered the prohibitive favorite.

— Former WSU coach Paul Wulff has reportedly been hired by the 49ers as an offensive assistant, which obviously means he’s working for Jim Harbaugh.

All for now.
