A couple of things worth passing along today. …
— Scout.com is reporting today that QB Troy Williams of Narbonne High and Harbor City, Calif., liked his visit to UW this week and “thought about just committing” during his visit but has decided instead to take next week to think about it and will announce at his high school the following week. He said Arizona is the only other school he is considering and that he’s “not leaning” toward either school at the moment. Williams is listed as the only uncommitted QB that UW has a current offer out to as a QB (UW apparently is now offering Johnny Stanton of Santa Margarita, Calif., as an athlete).
— Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News is reporting that cornerback Tee Shepard, who visited UW among several schools after leaving Notre Dame this spring, will now stay home and play at Fresno State. Shepard is from Fresno.
— Interesting Jake Locker news out of Tennessee today as Titans coach Mike Munchak said Locker and Matt Hasselbeck will split reps 50-50 as they battle for the starting job.
— LostLettermen.com continues its slideshow rankings of Pac-12 positions today with a look at defenses. UW is ranked 11th, ahead of only Colorado. Utah is No. 1 followed by Stanford, USC, Cal, Oregon, Oregon State and WSU.
— Here’s one rating of UW having the fourth-toughest non-conference schedule in the Pac-12 this year.
— CBSSports.com reporting a playoff could be announced later this month.
— InsideTucsonBusiness has a good Q-and-A on the Pac-12 Networks.
