A few links for a June Seattle day that feels a little too much like November. …

— ESPN.com reports in an Insider piece that UW made a “statement” with highly-touted LB Michael Hutchings of De La Salle High in Concord, Calif., when he took an unofficial visit over the weekend. ESPN.com reports that Hutchings —- which it rates No. 57 overall nationally — will now wait a while to make a decision after it had been thought that USC had a comfortable lead for his services. “It went great,” Hutchings was quoted saying of his UW visit. “I’m leaving there with a lot higher thoughts of UW. I want to visit it again on either an unofficial or official visit.” He said the trip moved back his decision. “It opened my eyes to a bunch of stuff. I want to get out and visit more schools and I’m going to give everybody a chance,” he said. He also reportedly will take unofficial visits to the Oregon schools and Cal in the summer.

Jon Wilner breaks down the latest Pac-12 revenue figures for football and basketball. No surprise that UW’s share rose a little bit — from $8.1 million in 2007-08 to $9.8 million in 2010-11 — as the football team got a little better. But as Wilner also notes, those numbers are going to increase drastically for everyone with the the new TV deal that kicks in for the 2012-13 academic year.

Steve Sarkisian will give the kickoff speech at the Northwest Elite Football Camp Friday.

— Athlon’s has concluded its Top 25 countdown with USC at No. 1. Recall that its countdown began with UW at No. 25.

— Arizona signee Dylan Cozens, who seriously considered UW before inking with the Wildcats, is instead going to play baseball after being drafted by the Phillies.

— Kind of a crazy story about the attention Joe Mathis got when he recently visited Nebraska. He’s the defensive end from Upland, Calif., who has said UW is also in his top three.

— PacificTakes has more on the Pac-12 Network’s distribution issues.

— Finally, we’ll end with some video from NBCSports.com (and hat tip to a reader for passing this on) breaking down the Tennessee Titans’ QB situation — with Jake Locker competing with Matt Hasselbeck for the starting job — as OTAs begin again this week:

Breaking sports news video. MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL highlights and more.
