Friday links — Will UW get a QB today?

After landing a kicker for the Class of 2013 last night, it’s widely anticipated that UW will get a quarterback today.

Troy Williams of Narbonne High in Harbor City, Calif., is scheduled to make his decision public today at 1:30 p.m. He’s officially deciding between UW and Arizona, but most of the speculation is that he is heavily favoring Washington and expected to pick the Huskies.

Here’s a blog post from a few days ago on Williams.

I’ll pass along Williams’ decision later today as quickly as possible.

IN OTHER NEWS. …

— I spent much of yesterday afternoon at the Memorial Service for former Husky Johnie Kirton. Here’s the story. As noted in the story, still no official cause of death and likely none to come for a couple months or so as tests are completed.

— UW’s graduation is this weekend and Gregg Bell at GoHuskies.com looks at some of those who will take part.

— CoachSark’s site, meanwhile, has the list of all the graduating football players.

— ESPN.com’s Pac-12 blog assesses the odds for each team having a 1,000-yard receiver in 2012. It says UW is “a tough call” as it’s a little hard to judge if anyone would get enough work to surpass that total.

— Here’s more on the Pac-12’s plans for its digital network.
