Tuesday night notes

A few notes worth passing on tonight. …

— The Seahawks are back in action and Danny O’Neil reports that Jermaine Kearse — trying to make the team as an undrafted free agent — is out for the moment with his left foot in a plastic boot. However, O’Neil says that Kearse remains on the roster which means there’s no injury settlement and wouldn’t preclude him participating in training camp.

— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller has more on Pac-12’s recruiting costs.

— Interesting stuff from Blair Kerkhoff on how regular-season scheduling — and the inequities from conference to conference — could start to become a big issue in college football with a playoff system looming.

Johnny Stanton, being offered by UW now as an athlete and not a QB, has picked up another offer.

— Finally, here’s a story on Shaq Thompson and his baseball hopes, with no new news, but some video (below) I’m not sure I’ve seen before:
