Erik Folk has become the latest member of the 2011 Huskies to latch on with an NFL team, signing today with the Falcons.
Here are the details from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which notes that he is being brought on to compete with veteran Matt Bryant.
Folk participated in a tryout camp with the Falcons last month and obviously did enough to warrant a free agent contract.
Atlanta does not play the Seahawks this year.
Two 2011 Huskies were taken in the draft — DT Alameda Ta’amu (Steelers in the fourth) and Senio Kelemete (Cardinals in the fifth). RB Chris Polk (Eagles) and WRs Jermaine Kearse (Seahawks) and Devin Aguilar (Titans) also signed free agent deals.
