IN OTHER NEWS. …

— Times high school writer Mason Kelley reports that Bellevue High LB Myles Jack will make his commitment tomorrow at 1 p.m. UCLA is considered the favorite though most also include UW as one of his finalists. Rated four stars by Scout.com, he’s among the top uncommitted players left for the Class of 2013 from the state of Washington along with linebacker Danny Mattingly of Mead. Interestingly, Rivals.com lists Jack’s other finalists as Cal and Georgia Tech (he’s originally from Atlanta) and not UW.

— ESPN.com’s Pac-12 blog puts Desmond Trufant as the UW player in its list of players in the North Division with something to prove this year. Hard to argue that one given Trufant’s status as a senior at a position that could — and needs to — vastly improve this season.

— The Red Sox’ entry in the Rookie Gulf Coast League has played two games, but Shaq Green-Thompson has not seen action. Here’s his player page from the team’s web site.

— The Eugene Register-Guard includes Oregon’s game with UW on a poll of possible trap games for the Ducks.

— Missouri Sports Magazine lists Steve Sarkisian as one of the 50 college coaches to follow on Twitter.

— Colorado is the only Pac-12 team represented on Bruce Feldman’s list of the top 10 easiest non-conference schedules.
