Quarterback Troy Williams of Narbonne, Calif., who recently committed to sign with UW as part its Class of 2013, received an at-large invite today to the Elite 11, a competition of 25 QBs that will take place next month.

Since the Elite 11 began in 1998 there have been five other QBs who later signed with UW to compete (and be named as Elite 11 QBs at the end of the competition) the others being Casey Paus, Matt Tuiasosopo, Jake Locker, Nick Montana and Jeff Lindquist. (according to this from Wikipedia, the best source I could find on the history of the competition). UPDATE — As a number of you pointed out, Cyler Miles also competed last year. The list linked above is of those who were actually named as Elite 11 QBs at the end of the competition — Miles was not (details here). Sorry for the lack of clarification on that.
