But Richard Obert of the Arizona Republic — who has covered Nowicki for a few years — just Tweeted that Nowicki is also considering UW and will visit Washington Thursday and Friday and then fly to Illinois on Saturday. Obert also Tweeted that Arizona State is meeting with Nowicki today.
As noted previously, UW was one of Nowicki’s three official visits — the others being Penn State and USC — before he signed with Penn State as part of the Class of 2011.
As part of penalties levied earlier this week by the NCAA, all Penn State players are allowed to transfer and be immediately eligible and also not count against the 85-player scholarship limit of their new school.
Nowicki was rated a three-star tackle by Scout.com and Rivals.com.
Listed at 6-5, 280 at Penn State, Nowicki redshirted last season. He would have four years of eligibility remaining.
