Roster available, camp dates set

Washington officially released its list of fall camp practices today, as well as putting on-line its 2012 Information Guide and Record Book, which includes an updated roster.

Here’s the link to the information guide — you can find the roster by flipping to page two. Player bios and other info follows (though heights and weights have not been updated).

As far as camp, it begins Monday, Aug. 6

UW will essentially have one practice every day from then until the opener on Sept. 1 against San Diego State (the day before will be just a walk-through) other than on Sundays.

As was the case in the spring, none of the practices is open to the general public due to the space limitations created by the renovation of Husky Stadium. UW will hold all of its fall camp practices on-campus, either on the East Practice Field (the one behind the scoreboard) or the Dempsey Indoor. As noted earlier, UW is also not holding a Picture Day this year due to the same issues created by the renovation. So, for the general public, the next chance to really see UW will be against the Aztecs at CenturyLink Field.

Most practices, however, remain open to the media. As was the case last year, UW is closing practices on mornings on which it practices twice. It is also closing a couple others as the team gets closer to the season. UW has also announced that all Thursday practices during the season will be closed (Friday walk-throughs have also been closed for a few years now). In another slight change, assistant coaches will also be available to the media just once a week during camp — that has been the policy during the season for a few years, as well, and that will remain.

UW has also announced that coach Steve Sarkisian will hold a Aug. 6 at noon to kick off the season.
