Sunday night notes — Parking and transportation info, and more

A few more news, notes and links to pass along as we get into the first gameweek of the season. …

— There have been a lot of questions about parking and transportation with the games being at CenturyLink Field this season. All of those should be answered in this handy guide provided by UW that has a veritable plethora (one of Howard Cosell’s favorite phrases, so seems fitting with football season coming) of information on parking and transportation for this season.

— A few of you have asked about beer sales. Am told alcohol will be available only in some premium seating areas and not everywhere, unlike is the case for Seahawks games. So you don’t have to worry about being tempted by those $9.75 16-ounce beers in the (not so) cheap seats.

— Some of you asked me, in the wake of the ticket numbers I passed along on Friday, if those included students. It does for the San Diego State number, which was just over 48,000. It does not for the season tickets, which was 40,482. However, none of the season ticket totals there include students, so those are accurate year-to-year comparisons.

— In my story for the Monday paper, I wrote about San Diego State QB Ryan Katz, who for the third straight year will be making a visit to Seattle.

Bud Withers has more info on the Pac-12 Networks.

— The only former Huskies I’ve seen waived so far by the NFL are Erik Folk (Saturday by the Falcons) and Roy Lewis (today by the Seahawks.) However, Lewis is injured and it sounds as if he the team could re-sign him and place him on injured reserve if he clears waivers.
