UW Game Notes released, including depth chart

The first Monday of the new season brings with it the first UW game notes and depth chart.

Here’s the link to the whole thing on the school’s website. I’ll pass along the TV/radio info and depth chart below:

TELEVISION: The Washington-San Diego State game will air live to a national audience on the Pac-12 Networks with Kevin Calabro (play-by-play), Adam Archuleta (color) and Yogi Roth (sidelines)providing the commentary. The game will air on the Pac-12’s national network as well as all of the regional networks (including Pac-12 Washington).

RADIO: The Washington IMG College Network, with its flagship station KJR 950-AM, will carry the live broadcast of every football game on 18 Northwest radio stations. Longtime play-by-play man Bob Rondeau and color analyst Damon Huard are joined by sideline reporter Elise Woodward. The UW broadcast of the game will also air on Sirius (138) and XM (196) satellite radio.

A few quick thoughts on the depth chart:

— No big surprises anywhere, though always interesting to see the official listing. Taylor has obviously ascended to a starting spot due to the injuries to James Johnson and Smith. And one spot that had been unclear was the other CB position, going now to Watson, though I’d imagine that’s basically a four-man rotation there.

— Obviously, the decision has been made for now of who is ahead in the race between Cyler Miles and Jeff Lindquist. If one is to play this year it looks like Miles.

— I count six true frosh — Brostek, Miles, Mickens, Taylor, Vatuvei and Thompson. UW officially played five true frosh last year (though obviously no guarantee that those are the only ones who play, or that they all play, as Brostek and Miles in particular, might still be attempted to be redshirted.
