The question stated in the headline is an obvious one for this season. Really, it’s one every team asks itself every season, except maybe for the first year of a coach when he has pretty much an unquestioned grace period.
The real answer won’t come until the season and we see where the Huskies have landed.
But Times columnist Jerry Brewer says he thinks Sarkisian does indeed have the Huskies on the right track entering year four.
Read his column to find his reasoning. And agree or disagree, the good news is we are just a few days away now from getting more real hard data.

— As I Tweeted earlier, there’s a rumor out there that Travell Dixon, a JC cornerback from Eastern Arizona who signed with Alabama but left there a few weeks ago, will transfer to UW. I have no official confirmation, though, so we’ll see. Dixon was considered the nation’s top JC cornerback before signing with Alabama. — Here’s a good overview of LSU as it gets set to host North Texas Saturday. Obviously, the weather situation there is top of mind, but it’s way too early at this point to know if that would impact the UW game. But I’ll stay on top of that and pass along any news on that front in this space.
