A few notes and links to pass along before calling it a night. …
— UW released a statement from Steve Sarkisian tonight clarifying what he said earlier today when asked about junior WR Antavius Sims:
“Near the end of today’s press conference, I was asked a question that I answered incorrectly, and I’d like to clear it up. Antavius Sims is not redshirting this season and in fact doesn’t have a redshirt year available. We’re all hopeful that Antavius can contribute to the team on the field this fall.”
Sims is a transfer from Ventura JC but has yet to play this season for the Huskies, having switched from RB to receiver prior to fall camp

— Lots of notes on Portland State from the school’s official site.
— The Pac-12 announced tonight it has picked up the Arizona State-Utah game for its Networks on Sept. 22, the same day it had already announced it would show the USC-Cal game. Those are two big games that the conference surely hopes will put that much more pressure on those who had not yet made deals to carry the Networks to, well, carry the Networks.

— CBSSports.com rates UW ninth.
— Some big news elsewhere around the conference today as Utah QB Jordan Wynn has announced he is giving up football after suffering yet another shoulder injury (recall he suffered one last year against UW that cost him the rest of the 2011 season).
