The Huskies are off the field following their Tuesday practice.
Per the new rules, I can’t give you a whole lot of details on it (and not trying to whine, just explain — I’ll stop with the explanation sentence soon but just trying to make clear that some of what we used to be able to report from practice we no longer can).
A couple of notes I can pass along:
— Shaq Thompson was not at practice today due to what the school said was “personal reasons.” He is expected back on Wednesday.
— Travell Dixon, who last week transferred to UW from Alabama, was at UW’s practice Tuesday. He cannot practice in full pads for a few days due to the NCAA’s acclimatization rules, and he will sit out this season per NCAA transfer rules. Dixon was rated by some as the best junior college cornerback in the country last season at Arizona Western. He signed with Alabama but left there in August for what were termed personal reasons. He will have two years of eligibility remaining at UW beginning in 2013. He was wearing jersey No. 31,
