Thursday links — and live chat at noon

There’s no game this week, but that won’t stop us from holding a live chat today at noon, back at our regular time.

Until then, a few links. …

— For my story for today’s paper, I wrote about the continuing emergence of Shaq Thompson. (And I should have probably noted that he was indeed back at practice on Wednesday).

— More on the big game coming up this week for UW commit Troy Williams (and with the Huskies having a couple of days off, coaches may be on the road looking at games like this one).

— The San Francisco Chronicle’s Stanford blog looks at some of the big plays from the USC win.

— Here again is the link to the DirecTV statement on the Pac-12.

— Sure you probably already heard about this, but USC’s Lane Kiffin didn’t like a question he got yesterday and ended press conference quickly.

Bud Withers has some thoughts on the Kiffin incident.

— In honor of Kiffin’s performance yesterday, The Wall Street Journal examines some other short press conferences in sporting history.

— Our daily college football notebook leads off with an item on the Oregon-Arizona game.

— The Arizona Republic examines the similarities in the offenses of Oregon and Arizona.

— Lots of Pac-12 links from The Spokesman-Review.

— And from The Oregonian.

— Athlon’s looks at the top week four storylines in the Pac-12.

— ESPN.com with what to watch in the conference this weekend.

Bill McCartney is defending the already-embattled Jon Embree.

— Arizona State is letting fans vote for the uniforms for an upcoming game.

— Finally, I was on KJR-AM with Gas and Elise yesterday. You can listen below (and here’s a link to the auction page mentioned):
