This date in Husky History

Time for our (sort of) daily look at This Date in Husky History.

And this date brings one of the most memorable games in Washington history, the Whammy in Miami — a 38-20 win over a No. 5-ranked Miami team that snapped the Hurricanes’ 58-game home winning streak at the now-departed Orange Bowl.

Here’s a good retrospective on that game from 2001.
