Tonight’s poll — Which team will win in the state’s big football weekend?

Tonight’s Seattle Times poll — asking which team in the state is most likely to win this weekend — also reminds us of what a unique weekend this is.

With UW obviously renovating Husky Stadium, CenturyLink Field will serve as host to one of the most storied college programs (USC) and one of the most successful NFL teams in recent history (the New England Patriots).

UW and the Seahawks have shared the same stadium before — in 1994 for about a month when the Seahawks were forced to move out of the Kingdome when the ceiling tiles fell; and in 2000 and 2001 when CenturyLink Field was built.

There really weren’t that many back-to-back weekends, though, and I found only one that might really compare to this one in terms of the stature of the opponents coming to town.

That was the weekend of Sept, 9-10, 2000 when the Huskies hosted No. 4-ranked Miami and came away with one of the program’s most memorable wins; and the Seahawks the next day hosted the defending Super Bowl Rams, who kicked a last-minute field goal to leave town with a 37-34 win.

This weekend, though, has the potential to be as memorable. And the Times, also throwing in WSU’s game with Cal in Pullman, is asking you which team you think has the best chance to win:

Which football team is more likely to win this weekend?
