But there aren’t many, as UW coach Steve Sarkisian was not asked much on the Pac-12 coaches conference call today.
He was asked about keeping negativity out of the locker room when tough times hit and he said “one of the real keys is to make sure that we are all on the same page with what our issues are and how we are going to fix those issues.” He said when locker rooms cann get divided is when there are “mixed messages and not a clear-cut message” about what needs to be fixed and how it will get fixed. He said the emphasis at UW is to make sure “we are all on the same page with what is needed to get done and making sure that there is a consistent message that we are all in it together.”
He was also asked about the second-half schedule, which has generally been perceived as being not as difficult as the first-half schedule. Sarkisian said “our conference is tough” and that it “doesn’t matter who you are playing week-in and week-out, if you don’t come ready to play, especially on the road, you are going to get beat.” He said they always knew all of their schedule was tough.
