Video — Cal coach Jeff Tedford

Cal coach Jeff Tedford held his weekly press conference with Bay Area media today. You can watch the video below.

Obviously, lots of talk about the Huskies and the game this weekend.

Tedford was asked about seeing Shaq Thompson — brother of former Cal player Syd’Quan Thompson and for a while a commit to the Bears before ultimately signing with UW, and said “I don’t have any ill feelings against Shaq.” (You can see that response around the 4:50 mark or so).

He was also asked right near the end about facing three former assistants (Tosh Lupoi, Justin Wilcox, Eric Kiesau) and the impact that might have on the game.

“I think they know a little bit more about us than any other team would because they have been here,” he said. “But again it’s still about execution and they probably have a little bit of insight on the way we do things, but we are different enough that the players on the field still have to see things and still have to execute, so I don’t think there is any doubt they have more insight into us than we do to them because they have been here.”
