Video — A pre-game view from Memorial Stadium

Deciding it was better to beat the traffic and get here early, we are in our seats at Memorial Stadium. And for the first time in a while, we are sitting inside — they had an auxiliary outdoor press seating area the last few years we were here while the stadium was in various stages of renovation.

This is UW’s first visit to Memorial Stadium since its $321 million re-do, and you can hopefully get a little sense of the press area in the video below.

Also, the head referee for the game tonight is Shawn Hochuli, who is the son of famed, in-shape NFL referee Ed Hochuli. Shawn Hochuli also was the head ref for the Apple Cup last year in Seattle.

Finally, here’s a story from the New York Times today on former UW coach Tyrone Willingham. I will say I don’t remember him saying at the time he got the UW job that it would be his final job in coaching.
