A few quick Sunday morning notes. …
— The AP poll is out and UW got one point, getting one 25th place vote from Doug Lesmerises of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. Somewhat oddly, the voter, Josh Kendall, who had UW 17th last week did not vote for them this week — here’s UW’s Pollspeak page. Here’s my ballot.
— UW’s next opponent is Colorado, which fell to 109 after a 56-31 loss at Arizona Saturday in which UA running back Ka’Deem Carey set a Pac-12 record with 366 yards. Here’s a report from CU’s official site. And John Henderson of the Denver Post notes Colorado continues to have the worst defense in the country and is on track for its worst season ever at 1-11. Here is all the CU coverage from the Post.
— More links around the conference from Christian Caple.
— Here’s Washington’s NCAA team stats page, with the most impressive numbers things that played a huge role last night — pass defense (18th) and pass efficiency defense (27th).
— You also see there that Bishop Sankey is now averaging more than 100 yards per game (101.70) and has 1,012 for the season. He is the third sophomore in school history to top the 1,000-yard mark, the others being Chris Polk in 2009 (1,113) and Napoleon Kaufman in 1992 (1,084). So no doubt, a good shot for Sankey to have the best rushing season ever for a sophomore at UW.
