Tuesday night links

Here we go with a few more Tuesday night links to tide you over to Wednesday morning. …

— For our main UW story for Wednesday’s paper, I wrote about John Timu.

— I wrote our Pac-12 notebook for this week looking at the big games in the conference this weekend.

— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller examines UW’s second-half resurgence.

— In case you somehow missed it, here’s our Jerramy Stevens-Hope Solo story.

— ESPN also offers a poll on how many Pac-12 teams will go bowling, which also swerves as a good overview of the conference’s bowl situation.

— The Boulder Daily Camera offers this story on Colorado hoping for a fast finish and an update on the quarterback situation.

— The Denver Post with more on the CU quarterback situation.

— Yahoo.com has a preview of the game.

— BCInterruption reranks the coaching hires of 2009 and gives Steve Sarkisian high marks.

Phil Steele projects UW to the New Mexico Bowl.

— Defensive end Austin Hooper of Concord (Calif.) De La Salle — one of six recruits to take official visits to UW last weekend, and one of four who is not committed to UW — told ESPN.com’s HuskyNation that he had an “awesome” trip but wants to take some time before making his decision, and that he also plans to visit Oregon.

— Another recruit who visited, safety Max Redfield of Mission Viejo, Calif., told Dawgman.com that he remains uncommitted (having decommitted from USC) and that he plans to take more trips, including Oregon this week. He also said Notre Dame is the school that stands out for him right now.

— Utah quarterback Travis Wilson said he feels “real embarrassed” about his performance against the Huskies.

— The loss to UW also confirmed to Utah that competing in the Pac-12 is a “whole new world.”

— Cal coach Jeff Tedford will meet with the school’s athletic director Sunday to discuss the future of the football program.

— Here’s a roundup of links from the Pac-12.

— The Salt Lake Tribune’s weekly Pac-12 notebook.

— Interesting stuff here from the LA Times with NFL scouts talking about the top prospects for USC and UCLA.

— Finally, here are some highlights of the game, put together by faithful (I think) blog commenter Skeptical Dawg:
