Monday links

A few links to start the week. As I’m finishing these up, I’m listening to Husky play-by-play man Bob Rondeau on his weekly stint on KJR-AM and he said simply “the better team won” when asked what happened in the Apple Cup.

Rondeau also said he thought the offense looked as if it was “playing in cement” throughout the game and that he didn’t think the Huskies adjusted well to the way the game was being officiated.

— The All-Pac-12 teams will be announced later today so watch for that here.

Bud Withers reviews the Pac-12 weekend and notes that four of nine Apple Cup games in Pullman since 1996 have gone into overtime.

— The Denver Post has Justin Wilcox on a list of possible replacements for Jon Embree. But important to note this is just a list — there’s no report that the school has contacted Wilcox or anything like that.

— ESPN.com’s Ted Miller puts UW 10th in his Pac-12 power rankings this week.

— PacificTakes reviews the Apple Cup.

— Athlon’s reviews the Pac-12 season and has some maybe surprising picks for offensive and defensive player of the year.

Jon Wilner makes his BCS projections.

— CBSSports.com has UW going to the Sun Bowl, though the conventional wisdom seems to still point to Las Vegas.

— The Vegas Bowl will apparently choose either Boise State or Fresno State as its Mountain West representative.

— Here’s The Oregonian’s Pac-12 Rundown.

Christian Caple also has lots of links around the conference.
