A few more notes this afternoon. …
— UW has announced it will practice Saturday, Sunday and Monday as it begins its bowl preparations —- teams are allowed to practice if they are bowl eligible. So expect some interviews and news and notes on each of those days.
— I also will hold a live chat in this space tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. (we need to change the time to account for another Times live chat, but I’ll try to go for about 90 minutes).
— I talked again today with a Las Vegas Bowl rep, and the word remains that an announcement is unlikely to occur before Saturday night. Boise State could well be the Vegas Bowl’s Mountain West representative. But Boise State also remains on the BCS’ list of teams it is considering. It’s a longshot that will happen for the Broncos, but the Vegas Bowl can’t officially select Boise State until it is released by the BCS. And the Vegas Bowl wants to wait to make sure it would have a chance at Boise State before making its Pac-12 choice.
— For those who missed it, here is the link to the interview with Steve Sarkisian on the Husky Radio Network following the Apple Cup:
— Interesting stuff here in a Q-and-A with Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott from the Pac-12 website, including his thoughts on the number of penalties called in Pac-12 football games and the status of the WSU/Mike Leach investigation.
— Jake Locker is excited about his new offensive coordinator in Tennessee.
Finally, here’s the Husky Honks Show from earlier today on KJR-AM:
