The Huskies are off the field following their Sunday practice.
With the bowl game still not set officially, there wasn’t much to talk about afterward or report on — players and assistants were not available to the media.
The expectation is still that UW is headed to the Vegas Bowl to play Boise State. But UW coach Steve Sarkisian said he preferred not to talk about bowl scenarios until they are set.
The team held a similar practice as Saturday’s —- in the Dempsey Indoor in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts with a lot of work for the younger players.
Sarkisian did offer this comment when asked if the Apple Cup loss felt any different after watching it on film and having some time to review it
“Felt the same,” he said. “Had essentially two turnovers, one in the fourth quarter, one in overtime. We had eight penalties (in the fourth quarter). We had two third-and-ones, one of which we turned the ball over another of which we get a penalty on ourselves. We don’t get a stop, we miss a field goal. We didn’t coach well enough. At the end of the day you blow an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter it doesn’t feel good.”
