A poll — and a few links

Time for a few links and another poll. …

Dennis Dodd of CBSSports.com ranks the Vegas Bowl 13th of the 35 bowls and also notes that UW is one of just two BCS teams to ever beat a Chris Petersen-coached Boise State team.

— The CoachSark site has some pictures and details a cool gift the captains got at the team banquet.

— Here’s more on those gifts from GeekWire.

— The Eagles play on Thursday night this week but Chris Polk remains questionable with a toe injury.

— There’s no UW players, but you can’t help but find the Pro Football Weekly All-American Team, based on NFL potential, quite interesting — though hard to believe Austin Seferian-Jenkins isn’t mentioned (since they do have some none-draft eligible players on it). Note that Boise State CB Jamar Taylor is on the honorable mention list.

— OutkickTheCoverage has early odds for the national title in 2014 and lists UW at 150-1. That’s tied for sixth among Pac-12 teams with Oregon at 8-1, USC at 20-1, Stanford at 25-1, UCLA at 40-1, Oregon State at 60-1 with Arizona and Arizona State also at 150-1.

— Dodd also writes about how Boise State may hold the key to the future of the BIg East.

— WSU announced the results of its review of its football program today.

— Looks like San Jose State’s coaching search may start with San Diego coach Ron Caragher.

— Now for the poll. I posted a 12-12-12-themed poll below devoted solely to UW football. But hey, we here at the Times know a good idea when we see it. And some of the others at the Times also put together a poll tonight on the most notable No. 12 in the state’s sports history. So vote below:

Who is most notable No. 12 in our state’s sports history?
