Okay, so I tried to resist all this 12-12-12 stuff. But what the heck? I know a cheap, easy blog post when I see one.

There actually weren’t quite as many No. 12’s as I thought there would be. Obviously, in recent times that number is mostly reserved for skill guys, and generally quarterbacks on offense. Ultimately, I decided to narrow the list down to guys from the “modern era.”
So here are the five:
Hugh Millen — Starting QB on the 1984-85 teams before embarking on a radio career (with a little detour into the NFL along the way).
Tom Flick — Starting QB in 1979-80, led UW to the 1980 Rose Bowl.
Billy Joe Hobert — Starting QB on the 1991 national title team, and 18-0 all-time as a starting QB.
Al Worley — First-team All-American in 1968 and holds school record with four interceptions against Idaho in 1968.
Omare Lowe — Starting cornerback on the 2000-2001 teams, the former of which won UW’s last Rose Bowl.
And here’s the poll:
