Like the team, I am off to Vegas, a night-time flight to get there in time for the beginning of UW’s official activities there tomorrow.
The Huskies made it there safely earlier today — here’s a photo gallery of the trip.
But before I go, a few links. …
— UW was hoping to find out today whether it was getting a commitment from junior college DT Lavon Hooks, who had said he might announce his decision. But there were several reports later on Twitter that he won’t make a decision until Tuesday, reportedly set to choose from UW, Mississippi or Mississippi State. It sounds like he is the only player UW may try to sign during the JC signing period that begins this week. Here’s a Nebraska view of Hooks’ situation — he had been also thought considering the Cornhuskers.
— We always do a story focusing on the opponent leading up to the bowl game. Here’s what I wrote on Boise State, trying to take a little bit of a stab at answering the question of how the Broncos got to where they are. Space is limited in the paper and all that, so there are lots of aspects on this I admittedly couldn’t get to that might also be relevant.
